Backlight Repair
Is your laptop exhibiting any of the following ‘symptoms’?
- Dark or Negligible Video
- Flickering Video
- Faint Images
- Hissing noise from LCD
- Red, pink, or orange ‘tint’ on video.
If yes, then most likely the backlight, i.e., the CCFL tube or the AC/DC inverter board that powers the LCD is faulty. This board outputs over 1000 volts to the screen hence most commonly causes backlight issues.
However, the good news is that your laptop might not need the whole LCD replaced for this issue. We can test this board for its functionality and replace it if called for, saving you many bucks. Besides, we can also repair and fix the CCFL tube, which is a unique feature of our repair service. Mostly you will be told to replace the LCD in case of CCFL tube fault, but it can be replaced in 90% of the cases. This way you can save half the cost of the whole screen replacement.
